TEMPORARY PROTECTED STATUS (TPS) FOR VENEZUELANS SEEKING REFUGE IN THE UNITED STATES

On March 9, 2021, President Biden issued a new rule that can give Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to thousands of Venezuelans seeking refuge in the United States. People have 6 months to apply for this status, starting from 3/9/21. Please see CMS’ Facebook page and website at the links below where you can find information about how Venezuelans can apply and the documents they need to send with the application. Please share this information with your parishioners on your website and social media pages so they know how to apply, If they have any questions or would like assistance, they can call Catholic Migration Services at 718-236-3000 (Brooklyn) or 347-472-3500 (Queens).
